“Stuck” with Technology?  Teachers can get “stuck” integrating technology  Staff Development planners and presenters need support when they get “stuck”  Educational Networks can provide valuable tools for both teachers and administrators (Dave Schutt, 2008)

Educational Networks  Provide support and resources for educators in a variety of topics  Provide structured Social Networking for classroom use  Provide possibilities for file sharing, communication, and collaboration  Provide challenges for educators in the attempt to create a safe learning space separated from “social” spaces

Impact on Professional Practice “Research indicates that sustained professional development on the infusion of technology into the classroom environment greatly affects student achievement, attendance, and discipline” (Brock, 2009, p.25).  Teaching Teachers Pathway Discussion group topics such as Reaching Adult Learners and Adult Learning will help in preparation for preparing appropriate staff development for teachers. Files to use with our Technology Trainers (Train- the-trainer sessions), including documents and slide presentations to develop best practices for staff development presentations.

Impact on Professional Practice “Research indicates that sustained professional development on the infusion of technology into the classroom environment greatly affects student achievement, attendance, and discipline” (Brock, 2009, p.25).  Calendar Pathway Current scheduled discussions and presentations to facilitate new professional development topics for my district. Current discussions on the latest technology and technology integration activities to support teachers in my district in the use of 21 st Century tools n the classroom.

Impact on Professional Practice “Now more than ever, technology allows students to collaborate on projects without the constraints of time and geography” (Pitler, Hubbell, Kuhn, & Malenoski, 2007, p.153).  Groups Nearly 50 groups on a variety of topics with the ability to form groups to discuss topics of interest such as technology initiatives, software applications, and technology integration. Current discussions include Partnering with Our Digital Natives, Conferences, and Interactive Whiteboards. A great resource for ideas and innovations to implement in the school district.

Impact on Professional Practice “Now more than ever, technology allows students to collaborate on projects without the constraints of time and geography” (Pitler, Hubbell, Kuhn, & Malenoski, 2007, p.153).  Forum Current technology topics provide valuable resources from educators across the nation and world. Innovative ideas to help teachers integrate technology and provide new opportunities for professional development. Active participation makes topics relevant to current innovations in technology.
