A resource to improve upon… ALLIES-John Carroll Allies seeks to offer support to students that are interested in issues that concern gays, lesbians, and bisexuals. Mission-plan speakers, trips, and activities that will promote a better understanding of the LGBT population within the teachings and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. Hope to promote Christian teachings by advocating the importance of acceptance, love, and tolerance of all people. Attempts at creating an accepting environment. Provide resources to students that need it including help with health care, facing discrimination

The LGBT Community Center can help. “working toward a society free of homophobia and gender oppression by advancing the respect, human rights and dignity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.” Your mission will be furthered by helping our campus with the added benefit of expanding your resources to include students (ex volunteers, fundraisers…)

Ideas Project 180-Provide education, and information leading to cultural competency with regards to the LGBT communities. Provide guidance and support for businesses, schools, municipalities or health agencies to in turn provide competent care, secure a productive work environment and community and protect those at risk for bias and discrimination.
