WEATHER SYMBOLS ITALY: FOGGY

First we brainstormed weather words through the song: “Rain go away” Cloud, cloud go away (x3), come again some other day Wind, wind go away (x3), come again some other day Rain, rain go away (x3), come again some other day Storm, storm go away (x3), come again some other day Fog, fog go away (x3), come again some other day Sun, sun, come and stay (x3), we all like a sunny day. Author: S.Rampone – Music by Architorti quintet (The song is on the website in the folder “ Weather in Europe- pre/follow up activities)

…games and language activities Weather washing line Weekly grid to record weather

Secondly, we looked at works of art Monet- Houses of Parliament

Turner - Venice

Patricia Bardes

Pissarro - Rouen

Paul Chamberlein

We analysed the works of art by using this grid (CLIL)

Then we read this book:

We liked the technique used in the book…

Finally, we used the following cooperative strategy to draw our “foggy” symbol: THINK individually ….. PAIR and put ideas together THINK individually ….. PAIR and put ideas together in one drawing only…. in one drawing only….

… SHARE all the ideas…..and choose a criteria to select one.

We selected 3 pictures and VOTED the more suitable to the different contexts of our partner schools!

HERE IT IS!
