Presentation transcript:

Possible Cures/ Treatments Crohn’s Disease- Intestinal disease that causes pain and can sometimes lead to death. -Symptoms of interest: damaged intestinal tissue and immune system. Multiple Sclerosis- A condition that causes the immune system to attack the central nervous system. - Symptoms of interest: Demyelization, and degeneration of nervous tissue along with immune system.

Stem Cells And Crohn’s Disease What is wrong- Unlike normal people Immune system is malfunctioned and uncontrolled, Damaging tissues. Stem Cells can be used to fixe both these problems. SC’s naturally present throughout the intestine all that is needed is to trigger their regenerative capacity. Bone marrow is the primary way of getting the SC’s needed for treatment

Stem Cells and Multiple Sclerosis CD34+ is known to balance immune system and differentiate into myelin producing astrocytes. -MS both a balanced immune system and myelin making this a very promising treatment. Adult brain can replace cells but in MS something is prohibiting it. Stem cells can be used to stop this interfering factor allowing the brain to repair what has been damaged. The use of Bone marrow is the primary way of getting SC’s to reverse the symptoms of MS
