Milwaukee School of Engineering Night with Industry Formal dinner with professional females in the local area Matching of students with professionals working in their field of interest Great networking event Attracts between students Helps promote SWE on campus
Best Practice - Fundraising Host Evening with Industry – Night before Career Fair Less travel for company reps – Both students and company reps purchase tickets – Do not have to be member to attend – Allow time before and during the meal to socialize – During meal, try to pair students and companies with people they want to work with – Allow companies to sponsor tickets and prizes
Chocolate Soiree Who: Often co-hosted with another student organization – open to all students What: Community Service Event – Provide chocolate fondue and snacks – Ask for nonperishable food donation – Volunteer activity (often organized with the Salvation Army) This past year made cards for local hospital Where: Campus When: Annual Event
