The Old Way of On-Line Video: Downloading Slow Large files slow networks/fill hard drives No good way to send video to all in an organization without fouling the network Training to the desktop is not practical Like trying to control Niagara Falls…not going to happen!

The New Way: Streaming Video Files reside on a server Accessed on demand Data rates are optimized to display video without slowing the network Data transfer is carefully controlled and choreographed
