 1862 – Morrill Act - Provided Public Lands for Colleges benefiting Agriculture and the Mechanical Arts  1871 – The State of Arkansas created the Arkansas Industrial University – Now UAF  1887 – Hatch Act – Authorized Agricultural Experiment Stations  1914 – Smith Lever Act – Authorized the Cooperative Extension Service  1959 – UA System created the Division of Agriculture  1962 – McIntire-Stennis Act – Authorized the School of Forest Resources (housed at UA-Monticello)  1977 – AES Grants Office created to handle USDA grants

 0402’s, 0412’s, 0132’s, 0152’s  Processed 683 proposals in FY12  Received $47,523,240 in funded projects for FY12  453 total additional awards from FY12  RSSP prepares documents for Research Accounting to establish CCNs and process transactions ◦ Kathy is the approver for RSSP of all CCN transactions  i.e. new award, no-cost time extensions, any changes to the CCN

 NSF expenditures combines RSSP and AES  Annual FY awards include both RSSP and AES projects ◦ National rankings and goals to be top 50 Public Research University ◦ The purpose for showing these combined awards is to reflect the total awards from the University.
