II. How and when to use A. What is passive construction ? -It emphasizes what happened B. When is the right time to use? -When you want to emphasize the results C. When is the wrong time to use? -When writing instructions -When ‘it’ is the subject

Passive Construction Example from text: Active: I repaired the computer. Passive: The computer was repaired. ‘I’ vs. ‘computer’ being the subject
