Family literacy, language and numeracy Family learning impact funding – Family Numeracy Parents and carers with good numeracy skills are: more likely to go into their childs school more likely to have high expectations for their children more likely to be confident that they can help their children with school work less likely to have children who are struggling in school.

Family literacy, language and numeracy Family learning impact funding – Family Numeracy Benefits of attending family numeracy courses I hadnt realised until I joined the family numeracy course that I was using maths in everyday life and I was better than I thought I was. My son has been given extra help with his maths by his teacher as part of this course and we have joint sessions when we can all work together. I feel more confident to help all my children with numeracy now and I have just got my first maths qualification. When I have finished this course I think that I will join a family finance course – then look for a job.
