2. Because They Recognized God At Work In The Word. “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deut 4:29

II. Wise men still see his miracles. “We have seen his star in the east…” Matthew 2:2b

Like the Magi, we must be 1.Determined 2. Discerning 3. Dependent

III. Wise men still worship him “and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2c

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, and of incense and of myrrh.” Matthew 2:11

A gift worthy of His… 1.Lordship – Gold Revelation 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Jesus Christ is called Lord 747 times in the New Testament.

2. Holiness – Frankincense Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

3. Sacrifice – Myrrh Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for He shall save his people from their sins”
