3. The Meaning of "Advent" The word Advent comes from ‘adventus’ and means "coming" or "arrival." HE HAS COME/ARRIVED! HE IS COMING/ARRIVING! HE WILL COME/ARRIVE AGAIN!

4. Isaiah 7:14 New International Version (NIV) 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
