Southend-on-Sea Post-16 Education offer 12 secondary schools in Southend currently 11 have Sixth Forms 1 large Further Education College Southend Adult Community College Nova Partnership 14 Work-based Learning providers Regional and National Work-based Learning Providers Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Children & Learning

Southend-on-Sea Post-16 participation September % of year 11 learners participated in Education, Training and Employment March 2012, NEET are currently 5.8% 341 young people are 17 & 18 years old Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Children & Learning

Southend-on-Sea Employment Opportunities Large scale Employment Opportunities in Business and Financial Services, Hospitality and Tourism, Care, and Retail. Specialist opportunities in key growth sectors such as Creative and Cultural, Aviation and Advanced Engineering, and Medical Instrumentation. Southends connectivity with London means it is a viable commuter town with residents benefiting from high paid opportunities in London which are readily commutable.
