Instructional Plan | Slide 2 Course Title and Description Business Management Certification (F) (offered weekly Monday- Friday) The Boardman Corporate University provides management employees corporate training in market-relevant specializations to maximize managerial skills. Topics will include: policies, procedures, regulations, supervision of employees, leadership, role within the organization, communication, and methods of achieving maximum success. This course will outline the duties and responsibilities for all managers within the Boardman Management Group. (40 hours) Part I Analysis and Design of Instruction

Business Management Certification program (40hours) 4.Explain the gap analysis between what is available and what should be available. a. The gap is wide and needs to be closed. 5.What is your recommended solution for filling the gap? a. Start a Business Management Certification Program at Boardman Corporate University

Instructional Plan | Slide 4 Instructional Goal After successfully completing the Business Management Certification Program, leaners will be able to successfully work as managers within the Boardman Corporation. This certification allows them to be taught policies, procedures, and regulations they must know when working with managers within the corporation. They are given instruction on supervision of employees, leadership, role within the organization, communication, and methods of achieving maximum success. They must successfully pass this course to become certified as a manager.

Instructional Plan | Slide 5 Performance-Based Objectives 1 At the completion of this certified program, employees with the Business Management class will be required to pass a final exam (80% or above) covering the different aspects of the Business Administration Program. The exam will consist of 50 short answer questions and 20 questions that require written essay answers on different scenarios based on issues that they may encounter while performing their duties in a managerial capacity.

Performance-Based Objectives 2 At the completion of this course, prospective managers within the Business Management Course will be required to pass a final oral scenario based exam (receiving a 80% or above) based situations within their perspective jobs. The exam will be graded by a panel of managers and will ensure that all employees within this program are able to deal with certain situations pertaining to policies, procedures, and regulations while working in the capacity of their jobs. Instructional Plan | Slide 7 Summative Assessment 1.Written exam of 50 short answer questions. Must receive a 80% or higher questions that must be answered in essay format. 3.Oral evaluations that are based on scenarios the leaners many encounter within their perspective jobs.

Learning Outcomes 1.Managers successfully passing this program will be certified by the corporation and ready to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. 2.Managers will be properly trained in all policies, procedures, and regulations of the corporation. 3.Managers will be trained in every aspect of their jobs giving them the confidence to execute their duties. Instructional Plan | Slide 9 Learner Characteristics A corporate university’s Business Administration Course consists of 10 men and 10 women of various cultural backgrounds with experience and education in business administration. The test scores of this course range from % in related business courses. The course taught in this class are related to managerial jobs within the corporation. These students learn everything through audio, visual, and kinesthetic learning. The implications to this instructional plan are to properly train all learners in the course material regardless of learning styles, background, or experience. These individuals have been interviewed and recommended by individuals supporting their previous work and educational experience.

Instructional Plan | Slide 10 1.Description of intended instructional setting. a.All instruction will be given in the classroom and workplace setting. 2.Description of intended application setting. a. All application setting will be within the classroom and workplace. Resources will include classrooms, work areas, and related work materials. There are no work constraints or limitations for this course. 3.Explanation of how the information about the learning context will be used in developing the instructional plan. a. The learning context will be developed with this assistance of all managerial departments within the Boardman Management Group. This will give subject expertise to all materials that are taught within this course. Learning Context

Part II – Development and Implementation of Instruction Complete the following sections: –Delivery Modality – slide 11 –Instructional Strategies – slide 12 –Plan for Implementation – slide 13 –Instructional Resources – slide 14 –Formative Assessment – slide 15 Note: You may add additional slides if necessary. Instructional Plan Template | Slide 12 Delivery Modality (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.) Based on the learning context and learner characteristics, list and describe the most effective method of delivery such as an instructor-led course, a Web-based tutorial, an asynchronous learning environment, a synchronous learning environment, podcasts, a Web-based conference, video taped instruction, etc.

The overall plan governing the instructional content (the information to be taught) and process (how will it be taught). Select instructional strategies that will be used to facilitate instruction, and explain the main concepts that the learner will need to understand in order to master this topic.

Instructional Plan Template | Slide 14 Plan for Implementation (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.) This section defines the timelines for the actual implementation of instruction and actual delivery of the instruction. This includes the delivery dates for either a classroom, online, or Web-based instruction and the amount of time it will take learners to complete the course (e.g.,1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, etc.). Individuals and materials involved (e.g., facilitator, learners, copies of materials, activities, etc.) must be prepared. Define how you will implement your plan, including the specifics of who will be involved as part of the implementation, what resources are needed to implement your plan, where will the instruction be implemented, when the instruction will be implemented (e.g., weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly), and how your plan will be implemented (e.g., How you will communicate the plan, how you will build interest and commitment, how will you select your participants?).

Within this section, describe the materials that will be necessary to implement the instructional plan. (e.g., computer, whiteboard, hardware/software, manipulatives, and supplemental materials).

Instructional Plan Template | Slide 16 Formative Assessment (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.) Describe five formative assessment strategies that could be incorporated into the implementation of your instructional plan.

Part III– Evaluation of Instruction Complete the following sections: – Evaluation Strategies – slide 17 – Outcome Review – slide 18 – Recommendations – slide 19 – References – slide 20 Note: You may add additional slides if necessary.

For example, student surveys, follow-up with management staff, improvement in performance, academic achievement, and other qualitative and quantitative data as appropriate. Evaluation Strategies (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.)

Identify criteria for examining that design goals, performance-based objectives, and learning outcomes were achieved. For example, a rubric, a scoring guide, a rating scale, or a Likert scale.

Instructional Plan Template | Slide 20 Recommendations (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.) Based on the outcome review, analyze, and describe possible recommendations for future use.

Instructional Plan Template | Slide 21 References (After reading the information below, delete and insert your information.) List your resources (e.g., Web sites, articles, books, etc.) used to complete your instructional plan. Your resources should follow APA requirements. A minimum of six references is required to complete this project plan.

Instructional Plan Template | Slide 22 Template End You have completed the three parts of the instructional plan assignment. To complete your Week Six assignment be sure to submit your entire template reflecting sections I, II, III, and the Reference slide. To finalize your instructional plan, remember to remove slides 2, 3, 10, and 16. Your final presentation should only reflect the three sections of your instructional plan. The instructions within this template should be removed. Note: Students must upload the final completed Instructional Plan (Parts I, II, and III) to their personal Presentation Portfolio in TaskStream. (This is required.)
