Eligibility for Federal Student Aid Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program at an eligible institution Be registered with Selective Service (if male and between the ages of 18-25) Have a valid Social Security number Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress Be a U.S Citizen or U.S. National or Eligible Non-Citizen Have not borrowed in excess of annual or aggregate loan limits Have not received the lifetime limit of Federal Pell grant Not have federal benefits suspended or terminated as the result of a drug conviction Sign certifying statements on the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) Not in default on a federal student loan Do not owe a refund on a federal Pell grant Any federal money received will be used only for educational purposes
