Presentation transcript:

Description Video games are a nation wide popular electronic device that is owned by millions of homes world wide. The technology and ideas of video games have grown tremendously over the past decade. Video games have gone from being black and white to color to 3D and so on. With the technology we have today, we can make video games not only more realistic and sharp, but diverse and unique.

Pros and Cons? What are the downfalls of increasing technology of video games? Well, believe it or not there is only 1 problem about it. That is, students would never want to do their homework or study. What is so great about the new and improved games? With the new technology, exercise will no longer be an issue. While playing the games, children, even adults will be moving their bodies in order to keep up with the games. Batteries in controllers will never be an issue, because sensory motion will be used rather than controllers.

Where is the Technology now? The Japanese are the leading video game marketers and designers of the world. They claim that in approximately years, video games will change society at all age levels. This means that all ages will be able to enjoy these games.

The beginning of Video Games In 1839, William Henry Fox Talbot coined the phrase the "art of fixing a shadow" to describe his invention of the negative- positive photographic process. For more than a century, photography has been a ubiquitous part of our everyday lives, and is perhaps the most powerful visual medium of the 20th Century.

No longer “geeky?” Video games are no longer the geeky stepchild of popular entertainment. Last year, US sales of what is now called "interactive entertainment" topped $7 billion, closing in on the $9 billion film industry. Throw in a host of other measurements, say those who study popular media, and what used to be the noisy baby in the backseat is now helping steer the entire culture, technologically and creatively

Video gaming – An Art Believe it or not, video games are all considered a huge part of the art industry. Animations, drawings, and creativity are all factors that must be implied.

Ethical Issues? Violence is a major concern in the world of video games. The use of profanity is also another. However, video game specialists hope to someday allow the blocking and cutting down on this.

Problems that could arise from the new tecnology Video game specialists state that hope to drift away from problems rather than to create them.

Examples of some new and improved games that have been classic favorites for years Pacman Super Mario Bros. Duck Hunt Speed Racing

How much money do video games rake in per year? Video games were the bright spot in an otherwise dreary holiday retail season, with revenues of $4.82 billion in December alone. This is a huge amount of money, and proves the popularity of modern video games.

Video games and Advertising Video games will soon be part of the way we think about marketing and commerce on the Internet. Already, advertising adorns the virtual walls of sports arenas.

Video games and schools Schools will use video games as a fun way of interactive learning. It has been said this will take effect anywhere from 5-10 years.

Could video games help medical studies? Eventually, scientists say video games will be a good way to answer many medical questions.
