Automated Equipment LLC RAM 200-Fxp Frozen Fry Dispenser Automated Equipment LLC 5140 Moundview Drive Red Wing, MN 55066 U.S.A. www.autoequipllc.com US & Canada 1(800)248-2724 International +1(651)385-2273

Introduction to the RAM 200-F Manufactured by Automated Equipment LLC Designed to dispense frozen fries on demand to improve product quality, consistency and yield. Single hopper design developed for: Lower sales volume restaurants Limited kitchen space sites (width, height) 19 kg hopper capacity Uses a cold wall refrigeration system Not self defrosting Requires shut down/defrost once per day

Assembly Instructions Ensure all parts are clean, sanitized, and dry Install Fry Guide - secure with retaining pin Install flap door (green label side up) Install the accumulator housing Assemble the diverter and drum into the fry hopper Install hopper into the cabinet Install basket rack Install the drip tray

Opening procedure Turn dispenser on 90 minutes before use Remove hash-brown rack if not needed Ensure flap door, fry guide & accumulator housing are installed properly. Load fries into the hopper Select basket size Properly position basket for dispensing

Dispenser operation Change basket load sizes to match sales rate *** Step down software shifts to lower weight selections automatically: Large to medium after 7 minutes Medium to small after 3 minutes Resets when large is next selected Cook fries from frozen - do not stage filled baskets Look out for empty hopper warnings Look out for door open notification

Dispenser controls Power switch (integral 15 amp breaker) Used to make load size selections and to access menu functions. Power switch (integral 15 amp breaker) Located on right side of dispenser cabinet Operator panel - consists of 2 groups of controls Hopper controls: basket load selections System controls: access to available menus Main screen displays instructions and information, not using numerical codes (as with the 280-F)

Operator Panel Layout

Hopper controls Selection of desired load size using size buttons Indicator lights above indicate the selection made Main screen displays “select size” if no load size has been selected

System Controls OK: reset and function enter key Scroll: function scroll up and down keys

Main screen display Current refrigeration status Waiting: in short cycle delay Cooling: in initial cool down stage RAM 200-Fxp: in normal refrigeration cycle Open: cabinet door is open Current cabinet temperature * symbol after temp. indicates compressor is in normal cycle Current basket load size selection (select size if no selection made)

Main screen display (cont.) Current weighing system status Filling: drum is turning Empty: Insufficient weight on accumulator doors; hopper empty Ready: fries are weighed, waiting for basket

Menu Structures 3 menu structures provided Menu button provides access to all 3 Menus provided User Configuration Service Configuration and Service menus can be password protected if desired Uses up, down arrows and basket sizes for setting password

User Menu Last Basket/Cancel Selections Halts weighing in progress Immediate return to main screen Most common use – to empty hopper at end of day, or for immediate calibration Calibration – starts calibration procedure Display of Error history Display of software version Main screen – returns to main screen

Configuration Menu Set target basket load amounts Set target temperatures Set language Set display units; metric or US (lbs, F°) Set/adjust step down of basket filling Set password Return to main screen ! Under normal operation these settings should not need to be adjusted

Service menu This menu should only be accessed and used by a designated service technician The functions provide for: system diagnostics error correction adjustment of all operational system settings

Service Menu Error counts – displays number of occurrences for each error Clear functions: Error log – errors that can be reset by crew Held errors – these are refrigeration errors Parameters – keeps or resets factory defaults Adjust temperature (probe)

Service Menu Scale Readout – live calibrated weight displayed Refrigeration Monitor Weighing Monitor Accumulator Monitor Sensor Monitor Fry Monitor

Service Menu Bypass Functions: shuts down some systems for error diagnosis or to continue operation of dispenser Refrigeration Weighing system Basket sensor

Service menu Test Outputs: turns selected outputs ON or OFF for testing (Refrig, Drum, Accumulator) Set password Service Pin – only used on SMART board

Error Detection When an error occurs - main display will read “Error” and state which error has occurred List of 12 recordable errors are listed in the manual Operator manual lists potential causes and corrective actions for each Error can normally be cleared by pushing “OK” button Checking for proper assembly of components – resolves some commonly occurring errors: “Weighing Issue” “Fry door failed Calibration often clears up “weighing issue’

Error Detection (continued) If errors occur repeatedly after resetting, service technician should be called in Refrigeration errors can not be cleared by pushing “OK” button Service technician required to address this error Error reset accessed through the Service Menu.

Scale Calibration The RAM 200-F weighing scale may require calibration periodically. Calibration of the scale is performed using the operator panel on the front of the dispenser. The procedure was designed to be performed by the store staff as well as service technicians

Scale Calibration (continued) Open the cabinet door and remove the hopper from the dispenser Insure that accumulator housing remains on the doors Press menu button until “user menu” is displayed Use arrow buttons until “calibrate” is displayed, then press “OK” Place an empty basket in the dispense position under the accumulator doors Slide basket over the basket sensor – doors will open and close to insure empty accumulator doors Display will read “Zeroing Scale” – scale now has set a zero tare value

Scale Calibration continued. When the display reads “1.0” or 450g, place a 1 lb (450 g) weight on the accumulator doors 4 x “quarter pounder” patties can be used for reference weights When the display reads “2.0” (900g), place an additional 1lb (450 g) weight on the accumulator doors When scale stabilizes, the display reads “remove weights” – remove as instructed Reinstall the hopper and select a basket size button.

When to Calibrate During semi-annual PM Check If basket weights appear inconsistent If values (temp, weight) accidentally are changed from metric to US As part of some error code corrective action When major components are changed by technicians

Basic troubleshooting Display will indicate a system error (flashing) Basket size buttons will flash for affected side Most errors are reset by pushing the Enter button Many errors can be corrected by properly assembling the dispenser and/or calibrating Refrigeration errors may require additional corrective action

Required Maintenance Daily Monthly Every 6 months or as needed Turn OFF dispenser, defrost for 1 hr Inspect cabinet and removable components Monthly Clean and inspect the condenser filter Replace filter as necessary Every 6 months or as needed Clean the condenser coils Inspect door gasket, door alignment

Closing procedure Utilize U1-Last basket function Empty accumulator door and housing Empty hopper into approved storage container and place in freezer Wash, rinse, sanitize & air dry removable components Turn Dispenser OFF and Defrost Cabinet Wash, rinse, sanitize & air dry the cabinet Reassemble the dispenser – after parts are fully dry

Equipment Safety Only trained and qualified personnel should perform service to this equipment. Only personnel, licensed in refrigeration, should perform service to the refrigeration systems.

Equipment Safety Turn the power off and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before any service work performed Keep hands away from accumulator doors and dispenser drums while in operation. Use only the power cord that came with the dispenser, do not use and extension cord, do not modify the power cord.

Equipment Safety Do not spray the dispenser with liquid or solvents. Spraying the dispenser may void the warranty. Do not drill or otherwise puncture the cabinet walls or top. Never use a sharp object to remove frost. Keep the dispenser upright at all times.

Keys to Top Performance Load fries directly from freezer Insure dispenser has been turned on 90 minutes prior to loading fries Do not stage filled baskets on basket racks – fry directly after filling Turn off dispenser – allow to defrost and clean/dry once per day
