Delivery Model Centralized device loan library Determined by both the nature of our state and a needs assessment conducted by the Idaho Tech Act Project – Idaho Assistive Technology Project (IATP)

UCP of Idaho UCP of Idaho started a toy lending library in 1984 with a small collection of homemade switches and switch- adapted toys. UCP became a subcontractor for the IATP in 1992.

Library Staff 1.75 FTE 1 person – ¾ time 3 people – ¼ time 2 volunteers for a total of 7 hours per week 1 volunteer adapts/repairs toys 4 hours a month

Budget Annual budget approximately $250,000 annually. Library budget approximately $125,000. This does not include funds for equipment.

Who We Serve Individuals with disabilities – any disability, any age Family members of individuals with disabilities Those who work with individuals with disabilities

Volume of Activity In the FY 2006 the UCP library served 223 individuals directly, 34 individuals with disabilities, 73 family members 116 service providers. There were 483 check-out instances 1,123 items were borrowed.

Fees Medicaid, Medicare, Military - $10.00 annually None of these – Sliding scale with maximum of $60.00 annually Professionals – Agencies are based on average number of clients they serve, School District fees are based on their Average Daily Attendance
