Presentation transcript:

what happens if it is damaged? If you were at the park and you did a flip and you by accidentally broke your back your spinal cord can be hurt and broken and you might not be able to stand straight. If some of your bones are hurt and broken you might not be able to do a lot of things because let say if it was your thumb and your thumbs bone was broken you would not be able to pick up things and do other things as well such as when you are picking up the book, turning the page of the book, talking to your friend on the phone or picking the phone and etc.

What will happen without it If you had not have a skeletal you would flop down like a jelly fish. You wouldn't be able to walk, stand, keep your back straight, run and etc. Without your skeletal system what is going to protect your brain? You need the skull to protect the brain or it wont be protected.

Interesting Facts When you are born you have 300 bones and when you are an adult you have 206 bones. The smallest bone is called the stirrup which is deep inside your ear. The largest bone is your pelvis or the hip bone. The longest bone is called the femur in the thigh.

Why is it so important? We need the skeletal system because the skull protects our brain and if we didn't have the skeletal system there will be nothing to protect our brain. The skeletal system is so important to us because if you didn't had it the skeletal system you would just fall on the floor and you would be wiggly and slimy. If you didn't have the skeletal system you wouldn't walk, run, jogg, stand, strech and etc, exercise and etc. If we didn't have a skeletal system we would be on the floor and we would be floppy.
