 Question #1 – Name four people who might use scientific notation.  Question #2- What do geologists use it for?  Question #3- What do astronomers use it for?  Questions # 4-6 What are the answers to the first three questions on the 1 st TRY IT Quiz?

 Question # 7 – Change the speed of light into scientific notation.  Question # 8- Change the mass of a dust particle into scientific notation.  Question #9- What is the number that we are multiplying by a power of ten called? Hint: It must be greater than or equal to one and less than 10.

 Question # 10. What is the use of scientific notation in every day life?  Question # 11. Who started the modern notation for exponents and what year was it?  Question # 12 What is another career that is mentioned that may use scientific notation?

 Question #11. Each person needs to play the scientific notation game and record your score and accuracy.  Question # 12- Now work together to play the game on this website and record your score. Remember it is not in scientific notation. Change it to scientific notation and then add the new exponent to the one there.   We did this in class and on the test!  Good luck!
