2  A communication campaign aimed at the general public, following a progressive two-year regional campaign throughout France  The concept: Seventeen 45’ films broadcast during prime time for four weeks on channel TF1, between 21 November and 16 December 2005  The true stories of men and women who achieved their employment goals with the help of European Social Fund-financed organizations “Together for Employment”

4 Goals  To inform the general public about the European Union’s involvement to promote employment and social cohesion through real-life examples  To demonstrate how the French and European employment and social cohesion policies work together  To promote the wide variety of public and private organizations working to improve the employment situation

6 Results: Memorisation and recognition Question: A series of short films was recently broadcast on television. I’m going to show you 4 of the films of this series. Do you remember seeing other films that resemble the ones I’ve just shown you? Basis: All When helped, 25% of the people surveyed remembered at least one film.

10 Results: Recognition of the Role of the EU Question: Earlier, I showed you the beginning and the end of these short films. When broadcast, the European Social Fund logo appeared at the beginning and the end of the films. Do you think this series of films contributed to making the role the European Union plays in employment and social cohesion better known? Basis: All Subtotal - No: 29%Subtotal - Yes: 66%
