Activities Denmark-Russia  AWE Denmark, together with our Russian coordinator, arranges exchange of teachers and students and study tours between Denmark and Russia.

AWE in North and South America  Awe in North and South America works to improve life and living conditions for marginalised groups – very often of Indian origin – through educational programs combined with sustainable tourist activities.

AWE Denmark Since Rosa and Boy are experts in Forum Theatre, we used their visit to arrange a Forum Theatre in Odense. The actors in the play were refugees in Denmark together with and Folk High School students

World Education It is difficult to explain what World Education is. Therefore I have chosen to give some examples. But we are working on some basic common principles.

World Education  Education for life  Living interaction  Empowerment for change

Mission  Association for World Education’s (AWE) mission is to maintain and create networks of educators and organizations from around the globe.  AWE members work with inspiration from the Nordic Folk High School Movement to influence and improve social and ecological conditions at local, regional, national and global levels.

Organizational Background  AWE was founded in 1974  AWE was granted consultative status with the ECOSOC and UNESCO in 1978  The Global Secretariat of AWE is located in Denmark  There are seven members that represent AWE in the UN in New York, Geneva and Vienna.  All international members meet once every third year.

Thank you
