Summary A girl named Fern that lived on a farm in the country. Fern was eight years old in this book. One day Fern and her family entered Wilbur into the Fair competition for “Best Pig”. Wilbur won the contest. 

Questions I would ask E.B. White: 1 Why does the book not tell you if Fern can keep Wilbur or not? 2 Where does Fern and her family live? 

Me and Fern have in common… Fern and I both wanted something and we got them, but we have to take care of them. I wanted a Bulldog named Bear and Fern wanted a Pig named Wilbur. 

Fiction or Non Fiction? This book is non fiction. 

Recommendation: I recommend this book because it is half sad and half happy, but I love the ending. 
