STRUCTURE Made of 2 HEMISPHERES – halves Left and right *The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vice versa

LEFT or RIGHT BRAINED?? Most people tend to use one side of their brain more than the other….this shows up in the way they do things, their personality, and they way they learn. We are going to take a test to see what side of your brain you use the most……

VENTRICLES – cavities or spaces in the brain filled with cerebrospinal fluid BLOOD-BRAIN BARRIER – * least permeable capillaries in the body * most toxins, proteins, wastes, etc, cannot enter the brain through blood * gases, alcohol, nicotine, and many other drugs can cross into the brain – destroys neurons
