Vocabulary  Zionism- the worldwide Jewish movement that results in the establishment and development of the state of Israel.  Persecution- Institution and carrying of legal proceedings against a person. Leaders  President- Shimon Peres  Prime minster- Benjamin Netanyahu  Government : democracy Created  When  May 14th 1948  How  established well after over a millennia of Jewish dispersal and 50 years of Zionist  Why  Israel was established as a Jewish state it was not intended as a state for all its citizens?

Relationship  The US and Israel are the closest friends more than four decades Israeli have looked for inspiration for financial and military assistance  Countries in the Middle East don’t like Israel and they don’t like that were friends with them Feelings  Israeli don’t like Palestinians  think Israeli have mistreated Palestinians. If they split the land they would have less fights and work on building peace with each other. Obstacles  Some obstacles are that the Israeli and Palestinian don’t get alone they both have different reasons of why they want this country.

Palestine Leaders  Mahmoud Abbas, new leader of POL, won election in 2005 to take Yasser Arafat’s place. How do they feel about Israeli’s?  They feel that Israeli’s are coming taking and their land and forcing them out. Do Palestinians present a practical argument?  Yes huh, because was it Palestine but now the Israelis are coming in and taking ther land.

History of Palestine  Back in the day in Palestine had a lot more land then Israel.  Then Israel took over and palestine lost advantage. What legal rights to Palestinians have in Israel today?  Palestinians are not able to hang their flag in Israel. What Palestinian obstacles are standing in the way of a peace settlement?  The people of Palestine can’t even stand in the same room as the Israel's without getting in some sort of fight.

 Katie’s part  Didn’t finish  Didn’t try!!!!!!  Give her an f!!!!!  Jameson part also!!!  He didn’t come to class and left our group.

What is terrorism?  terrorism is using terror or fear to getting what you want. Do both sides practice it?  Yes both sides practice it. How, When, and Who.  The Israelis by using terrorist actions as in being able to walk into their homes, stopping them harshly on the streets.  The Palestinians by bombing bus and other places, snipping, holding hostages. Major Terrorist Groups  Palestinians –PLO, The Hamas, the Intifadeh, and Fatah  Israelis-Kash, and Kahane Chai

The Goals of the terrorist groups  Reasons for Palestinians terror groups  They want their homeland back  Believe they deserve Jerusalem for religious reasons  Reasons for Israelis terror groups  To rid of all Arabs from isreal  To expand Jewish rule all through isreal What can be done to stop it.  Establish better security systems and information gathering  They should have more army recruits on transportation areas  Baggage’s and people should be searched more thoroughly Obstacles in the way of peace.  The attacks on one another  The anger which causes retaliation  So much turmoil between one another

 We think that they should split the land because it’s not fair to Palestinians that they lose their land and have no rights because of what happened to the Jewish. Also the Israelis deserve some land because of what happened to them and they deserve a sorry.
