Energy Technology Data Exchange (ETDE)  Implementing Agreement under the International Energy Agency legal structure; formed in 1987, 16 members  Involves Cost-and Task-Sharing; managed by an Operating Agent  Executive Committee provides budget and policy guidance  Technical Working Group and input centers (many are also the INIS centers) provide input/technical guidance  Scope is all areas of energy; generally, ETDE uses same formats, standards as INIS  MOU with INIS; hold joint INIS/ETDE JTC meetings

ETDE Highlights  New underlying index for ETDEWEB in 2008 – much faster!  ETDEWEB current statistics:  Passed 4 million milestone (now 4.1 million citations)  228,000 on-site full-text items  100’s of thousands more with links to where full text can be obtained (838,000 have DOI links)  New developments to raise visibility, usage: domain recognition; Site Map for search engines (snippets with links to records)  Database continues to be available on STN and Dialog – close to 5 million milestone

Other Highlights  Renewal process successful; agreement extended through 2013  ETDE’s newest country: South Africa; next ExCo meeting planned for Mexico  IEA NEET initiative continues dialogue with China, India, and Russia  Projects with INIS: Full text, CAI vocabulary, thesaurus and other reference publications (see JTC meeting results)  Co-operation with INIS greatly appreciated
