HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OBESITY STATISTICS 22% of high school students throughout the U.S. are considered obese Percentage has quadrupled since 1980 (5%-22%) In 2012, more then one third of adolescents were considered obese. Number of obese students are higher among African- Americans and Hispanics.
