Quiz mi A bike trail runs diagonally through a square park. What would be a reasonable estimate for the length of the trail?

What is a reasonable estimate for the length of the trail? To find the length of the leg of the right triangle, I used the Pythagorean Theorem. I squared the leg and subtracted it from the square of the hypotenuse. To find a reasonable estimate, I put it between two perfect squares. A bike trail runs diagonally through a square park. What would be a reasonable estimate for the length of the trail? The trail is about 16 – 17 miles long. Square 12 mi sides Right Triangle or diagonal or hypotenuse = c = c 2

Reach for the Stars Paula wants to classify a triangle given the following clue. Two angles of the triangle are complementary. What type of triangle is the one Paula wants to classify? A. Right, because complementary angles add up to 90 o and the difference between 180 o and 90 o is 90 o. B. Obtuse, because complementary angles add up to 45 o and the difference between 180 o and 45 o is 135 o. C. Equiangular, because each of the two complementary angles is equal to 60 o and the difference between 180 o and 120 o is 60 o. D. Acute, because complementary angles add up to 100 o and the difference between 180 o and 100 o is 80 o.
