2. How many languages are there in the world? Perhaps more than five thousand, I remember. It was thought that there were more than three thousand before. But it is found in recent years that there are more than five thousand languages in the world. Only thirteen languages are used by above 55 million people.

3. How many languages are used as the working languages of the United Nations? Five: Chinese, French, Russian, English and Spanish.
