Aim, Elbow not in line with basket, or follow through 3. Flat shot hitting rim or backboard and returning directly back to shooter 3. Elbow not in line with basket, extend to top of backboard for more arc

What’s the correction? Elbows are out and not in line with body and basket Good – feet, balance and focus

What is the possible error? Shot/Ball will go to shooter’s left Why? Follow through is to the shooter’s left What is he doing right? Feet, balance and focus

What’s the correction? Follow through is good but looks like it is forward and not up. Flat shot, no arc Feet are not apart and balanced

What is the correction? Elbow is out and not in line with body Feet are close and shooter is not balanced

Error & Correction #1 Straight shot hits rim or falls short –Less speed or elbow/shoot up/arc GOOD ERROR Ball hits back of rim/backboard

Error & Correction #2 Shot goes to left or right of the rim –Focus or Follow Through GOOD ERROR Ball is short or hits backboard behind the rim

PORTFOLIO Did anything change from the first picture? What is right or wrong with my Elbow position? Am I holding my follow through, is it good? Are my feet on the ground? Has my position changed? When filling out your portfolio ask yourself key questions and answer WHY Are my feet in the correct position How is my focus Can I see my grip, is it okay?

INDIVIDUAL SHOOTING ERROR CHART MAIN ERROR Left & Right CORRECTION Follow Through Focus/Aim Feet Elbow

INDIVIDUAL SHOOTING ERROR CHART Comparing graph #1 and #2 IMPROVEMENT Made more baskets No right errors Less left errors #1 #2 CORRECTIONS Focus, Follow Through More speed GOOD ERROR/WHY? Short – replaced right with straighter shot

TEAMWORK

TEAMWORK/SPORTSMANSHIP TEAMWORK – working together with others to achieve a common goal. Each individuals within their team contributes equally, each doing a part and putting aside personal pride by focusing on TEAM accomplishment. SPORTSMANSHIP – respect for the opponent (team you are playing against). Interacting in a positive way to the opponent during competition. (example: defense, playing effort)

Excellent Teamwork This graph shows great teamwork because all players are evenly distributing the ball and shooting equally.

Poor Teamwork Teamwork needs improvement: ANASHE – move around and get open to shoot more ANITA and ARMEN need to pass the ball to Anashe and take fewer shots ANI seems to be the only player trying to shoot equally

Shot Selection In order to make more shots: Pass when you aren’t open or defended tightly Remember fundamentals, especially focus and follow through when shooting

Individual Critique PLAYERS ANITA ARMEN ANI C ANASHE

SPORTSMANSHIP Work hard but respect the opponent’s ability –On Defense –Enforcing and Following Rules

YOU ARE TRUE POTENTIAL! Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are probably right.
