Fairfield Local Government Area has over businesses, with some of the largest industrial estates in Australia. Sustain ‘n’ Save is a voluntary ‘partnership’ program, helping local business to be more efficient, competitive and sustainable. As part of the program businesses will have the opportunity to attend industry workshops, forums and create valuable networks. Council will also profile businesses that display commitment and leadership, both within the local community and through industry networks. Sustain ‘n’ SAVE

Stage 1 Visioning Multiple visits by the Project Officer Business sets its own vision/goals Stage 2 Assessment and Critical Thinking Business critically evaluates their values & beliefs Review of current business practices/methods Stage 3 Systematic Thinking A number of alternative solutions are considered for each business Business operations/actions are assessed in a systemic way with a focus on waste, water & energy practices
