What are Presentation Drawings? Working Drawings (Floor plans, Elevations, etc.) are meant to be diagrams, NOT realistic Presentation Drawings ARE realistic, and are intended to promote the design to the clients

Perspective Drawings Drawings that are not, overall, to a scale, but drawn in a manner to make them appear more realistic by having objects that are further away appear smaller or more obscured

Elements and Vocabulary of Presentation Drawings Rendering – a representation of a building, interior, etc. executed in perspective and usually done for the purpose of presentation. Can be generated on a computer or by hand Entourage – surroundings such as trees, shrubs, cars, people, and terrain that add to the realism of a drawing and show an architectural structure as accurately as possible Monochromatic – a color scheme using values of only one color Contrast – the use of opposing elements such as colors, forms, or lines to produce an intensified effect

Rendering Techniques Air brush Colored Pencil Ink Pencil Scratch board – black coated board that is scratched CAD
