NPA Enterprise and Business Launch Event Purpose of Event is to provide: General information on NPAs and this development An overview of the NPA – content, assessment etc. An insight from key stakeholders in the sector A centres experiences in delivering NPAs To stimulate thinking on practical issues around delivery To encourage Networking To help and support practitioners interested in delivering the NPA in Enterprise and Business

National Progression Awards Vocational Qualifications Designed to prepare people for all types of employment, career development and progression to further study Can be delivered in various ways within schools, colleges or by private Training Providers Designed to assess a defined set of skills and knowledge Linked to National Occupational Standards

NPA Enterprise and Business Follow on from NPAs in Enterprise and Employability Developed over last 18 months and validated March 2011 Available to centres from August 2011 Consists of five mandatory Units at SCQF 6 Focus on pre-enterprise activity Covers a range of skills, knowledge and attributes identified as being of value
