H ALTON, S T H ELENS & K NOWSLEY L OCAL P HARMACEUTICAL C OMMITTEE Building on our success 2014/15 95 pharmacies took part 1318 vaccines completed One pharmacy completed over 80 vaccines 59.3% patients hadn’t been vaccinated before – highlighting pharmacy is increasing the overall target by reaching new patients 13% chose pharmacy as they were unable to attend GPs 16.4% chose pharmacy as they preferred pharmacy to their GPs 65% stated that pharmacy was more convenient for them.

H ALTON, S T H ELENS & K NOWSLEY L OCAL P HARMACEUTICAL C OMMITTEE Feedback “Two special initiatives merit mention. 95 high street pharmacies across Merseyside gave more than 1300 NHS vaccines to under 65’s at risk and to pregnant women. More than half of these people said they had not had a flu vaccine in previous years “ Dr Dan Seddon immunisation lead much preferred coming into my local pharmacy for my flu jab“ Patient from Millenium Pharmacy “I didn’t know pharmacy could do this kind of thing- this has been really easy” Patient from Manor Farm Pharmacy From pharmacists “ Patients really appreciated the opportunity and choice of access” “ hadn’t realised it was that easy to run” “ one person came in for smoking cessation and had a flu jab at the same time “
