LESSON BEFORE THE POWER POINT Mathew 18: Conflict Resolution min (Hang out free time) (Countdown Clock) 20 min Worship set: Mighty to Save, Lord of All, He Will Not Delay, Lord I Need You Video Clip: (SpongeBob and Patrick stop being friends) Ice Breaker: Clusters: Kids are told to get into group of certain numbers. This is done by forcing yourself in groups, and pushing others out. In the back ground is playing “Shake it off” by Taylor Swift. Transition: How did it make you feel to be pushed out or torn from a group? Pretty bad right? How do you deal with it? What about in other things you’re mad about in life, do you deal with them well? We always say WWJD, and in Mathew 18, Jesus shows us how to deal with these feelings. Lesson: Mathew 18, Esther 4 (Power Point)

GUIDING THROUGH CONFLICT JESUS’ WAY MATHEW 18

MATHEW 18: (NIV) 15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

TIPS: DO’S AND DON’TS Do’s Find Ways to talk to them without making a big deal around other people Don’t blame the person if not sure, but make clear the evidence and explain the situation Don’ts Talk to them in front of others Make it embarrassing for either parties Don’t accuse if not enough evidence
