Prepared by Changhun Kim MEOK project in ROSTOV

Establishing New Waste Background Current Waste treatment capacity of Rostov State in Russia As a host country of 2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia has recently enacted the new law, “Industrial & Household Waste Disposal Law”. Through this program, it is expected that their previous waste recycling rate around 5~7% shall improve to the level of those advanced countries. Current Waste Treatment Capacity Of Rostov State Establishing New Waste Treatment Facility For 8 Districts Business Benefit Great number of unlicensed waste landfills Very low waste collecting rate Very low waste recycling rate due to absence of proper facilities Inefficiency due to outworn equipment Budget mismanagement due to absence of proper integrated management tool 1) Neklinovskiy MEOK 2) Salskiy MEOK 3) Morozovskiy MEOK 4) Krasnosulinskiy 5) Novocherkasskiy 6) Tsimlyanskiy 7) Myasnikovsky 8) Millerovskiy Removal of unlicensed waste landfills ☞ Eco-friendly environment Higher recycling rate via waste collection at regular intervals Financial contributions to regional economy via sales of recycled products Higher efficiency by up-to-date facilities Improved budget management Job creation
