Job Description  Put electronic parts together.  Follow product drawings and diagrams.  Measure parts and dimensions to match specifications.  Might put together full products or just have one step in the job.

Working Conditions  Work in electronic manufacturing plants.  Work with delicate equipment.  Work in special rooms for tools, with right temperature, humidity and dust.  Need to wear masks, gloves and other protective clothing.  Work with small power tools.  Work 5 days on a 40 hour week.

Earnings Some are paid by the number of items assembled. This means that they can get paid more than hourly wages. Paid $9-$18 per hour. Workers on the night shift can earn up to 10% more. Full time workers can get health and dental benefits.

Education Helpful if you completed high school. No real requirements.
