What is weather? The conditions outside. What is climate? The weather over a period of time. What is an isotherm? A line that joins equal points of temperature.

What is an isobar? A line that joins equal points of pressure. What is meant by the term relief? The height of the land. What is meant by a Albedo? Some surfaces reflect more heat than others.

An instrument used to measure heat... Thermometer. An instrument used to measure pressure... Barometer. A low pressure weather system... Depression.

A high pressure weather system... Anti-cyclone. Heating is least efficient here... Poles. Heating is most efficient here... Equator.

Shown by blue triangles...Cold front. Shown by red semi- circles... Warm front. A combination of triangles and semi- circles... Occluded front.

High wispy clouds...Cirrus. Blanket-type clouds...Stratus. Towering clouds...Cumulonimbus.

Rainfall at the warm front of a depression... Continuous. Weather at the cold front of a depression. Thunder, lightning and rain. Between the warm and cold fronts of a depression... Warm sector.

Weather associated with winter anti-cyclones... Frost, fog and mist. A problem associated with summer anti- cyclones... Drought. Land heats quicker than the sea... Continentality

A tropical storm in the North Atlantic... Hurricane. A tropical storm in South- East Asia... Cyclone. A tropical storm in Japan... Typhoon.

A greenhouse gas...Carbon Dioxide. Coal, oil and natural gas...Fossil Fuels. To replant trees...Reforestation.
