What it takes to get in Average high school GPA for incoming freshman: 3.96 Average ACT score: 27. Average SAT score: % finished in the top 10% of their high school class rank “UCSB GPA Requirements” “UCSB Admissions”

Application Process To apply, go to the UCSB home website and pay application fee of $60. Include transcript which contain my ACT/SAT scores, my GPA, class rank. An essay about myself, including personal qualities, talents and abilities, extra curricular activities, and work experience. Essay is crucial: it can either make or break your chances of being accepted to the school. “UCSB Admissions”

Fees/Expenses Annual costs for an undergrad comes to $26,000 for an in-state resident, $45,000 for out-of-state resident. Track scholarship possibly? I will most likely need to look into financial assistance programs. “Search- University of California: Santa Barbara” “Financial Aid-UCSB”

My Major Major in Business Economics. Business Economics focuses on how people choose their resources; develops skills in: logical thought used in solving problems, observation and inference from data; presenting ideas in compelling writing and speech. Student Life Beach and mountains. 250 active clubs and organizations Party. Did I mention party? “UCSB Campus Organization” “UCSB Review”

The Negatives Students party 24-7 and have reputations of having STD’s. Partying to hook-up with people is not my thing. UCSB no big on sports, and I am a sports fanatic. They do not even have a football team! “UCSB Review”

Final Decision -UCSB offers a phenomenal education and a dream location -Can’t handle lack of sports and the party atmosphere.
