PDR Provides essential information about drugs and medications currently in use Both Rx and OTC (over the counter) Published yearly to provide up-to- date information on drugs

Manufactures’ Index Initial white section of book Major drug manufacturers in US are listed in Alphabetical order Manufacturers addresses, telephone and names of key contact people and partial list of products

Brand and Generic Name Index Second main section usually in pink Products are listed alphabetically by both brand name and generic name An underline denotes a generic name

Brand/Generic Name Cont. Under each generic name, you will find a list of brand that contain it Manufacturer name will be list in ( ) Bold page numbers indicate complete prescribing information

Product Category Index Third main section and normally blue in color Provides a quick reference section for drugs available for various conditions

Product Category Cont. Index list products by prescribing categories- identifies all agents with a given therapeutic use May have sub-groups to aid in search
