PORTION EXAMPLES 1 serving fruit: Tennis ball (or ½ canned/1 medium fruit) 1 serving meat: deck of cards (or 4-5 oz.) 1 serving vegetables: baseball (or ½ cup)

PORTION EXAMPLES: GRAINS 1/4 bagel (approximately 1 ounce) 1/2 hot dog or hamburger bun 1/2 English muffin 1 slice of bread (4-inch square) 1 tortilla (6-inch diameter) 1/2 pita bread (6-inch diameter) 1/3 cup cooked rice 1/2 cup cooked dried beans (kidney, pinto, lentil, lima, etc.) 1/2 cup cooked cereal 3/4 cup dry cereal 1 small baked potato (size of a standard computer mouse) 1 small dinner roll (2-inch square)
