II.Introduction Mark 12:30 (NKJV) 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. Worship is the reverence, adoration, respect, honor, devotion, and magnification of God by His people.

II.Introduction Psalm 29:2 (NKJV) 2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 1 Chronicles 16:1 (NKJV) 1 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. 1 Chronicles 16:4 (NKJV) 4 And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel:

Introduction Psalm 69:30-31 (NKJV) 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, which has horns and hooves. Psalm 78:60, 68 (NKJV) 60 So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, (Where the tabernacle of Moses was erected) the tent He had placed among men,… 68 But chose the tribe of Judah(praise), Mount Zion which He loved(the site of the Tabernacle of David).

Introduction Acts 15:16-17 (NKJV) 16 ‘AFTER THESE THINGS I will return, AND I WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID WHICH HAS FALLEN, AND I WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID WHICH HAS FALLEN, AND I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS, AND I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS, AND I WILL RESTORE IT, AND I WILL RESTORE IT, 17 SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, 17 SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, AND ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,’ AND ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,’ We are spiritual priests who offer praise and worship to God.

Introduction 1 Peter 2:5-6, 9 (NKJV) 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

III.Biblical Expressions of Worship a.Vocal expressions: singing, audibly praising, shouting Psalm 66:2 (NKJV) 2 Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. Revelation 19:6 (NKJV) 6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Psalm 66:1 (NKJV) 1 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!

b. Lifting and clapping hands Psalm 134:2 (NKJV) 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord. Psalm 47:1 (NKJV) 1 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!

c. Musical Instruments Psalm 150:3-5 (NKJV) 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

d. Physical expressions: standing, bowing, kneeling, and/or being prostrate and/or being prostrate Psalm 134:1 (NKJV) 1 Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! e. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

f. Marching, procession, using banners and waving palms Psalm 42:4 (AMP) 4 These things I [earnestly] remember and pour myself out within me: how I went slowly before the throng and led them in procession to the house of God [like a bandmaster before his band, timing the steps to the sound of music and the chant of song], with the voice of shouting and praise, a throng keeping festival. Psalm 20:5 (NKJV) 5 We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Revelation 7:9 (NKJV) 9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
