Background information: India Study Channel, the artist, released this ad. It was released in December of 2010.

What is the purpose? What is your impression of the ad? What stands out in the ad to you?

Purpose: The image emphasizes that advertising consumes everyone. Even young children and babies.

Who is the intended audience? Why do you think this?

Audience: The intended audience of the ad is adults or people with children. The ad is more directed toward adults because they can control what their children or someone else's children watches.

What is the focal point?

Focus: The focus of the image are the advertisements on the baby. It depicts that we are all classified by brands.

What does the ad symbolize?

Symbolism: The image symbolizes how we are all brands from the products we purchase, the clothes we wear, to the television channels we watch.

Appeal? (Ethos, Logos, Pathos) What is the ethical appeal? How does it make you feel? How does this appeal to your logic?

Appeal: Ethos: The ad is credible because it was made by India Study Channel. Logos: The image does a good job of depicting how you can be taken in by different brands. Pathos: The ad makes you rethink what you should pay attention in society and how it can have an effect even on younger children.
