Our Alternative Resource By Jamie Hutton, Jack Mc Gowan Stephen Bond and Kieran Ward 9E

What is our alternative resource?  Our resource is solar power. We have chosen this as it is a popular choice and a lot of houses would be able to use it. We can rely on it more than most more than most other energy other energy resources. resources.

Advantages  As there are ups and downs to everything in life, here are the advantages of solar power.  The sun is free.  It produces no waste or pollution.  It is renewable.  It doesn’t have any strange features, it would blend in with any modern house.

Disadvantages  Here below listed are the disadvantages to solar power.  It costs to get the solar panels.  It costs to get the panel fitted.  It doesn’t work at night time.  It is unreliable, as in some parts of the world there isn’t that much sun.

The Argument.  Solar power is definitely the most efficient power resource out. It is renewable, cheap and looks nice. It beats wind, as wind can be noisy and produces pollution, beats hydroelectric, as that costs a lot to build, it beats nuclear power, as it is not renewable and geothermal power produces dangerous gases.

Conclusion  We chose solar power, as it is one of the most common resources out there. It can make you save up to or over £100 a year on your electricity. If you live in England or Wales, you can get a FREE solar panel and get it fitted of NO cost.
