No doubt, another approach is needed !

ARISS meeting ESTEC 2014 ARISS Europe - Regional Scheduling Procedures ARISS International Delegates Meeting, April 3 - 5, 2014 – ESA ESTEC What is the goal ?  To reduce the waiting time to no more than one year How can we achieve this goal ? By proposing two schools to share the ARISS radio contact  This approach has been used successfully several times  Additional benefits :  cooperation between schools  cooperation between local amateur radio clubs How can we improve the quality of the educational projects ?  With the support of the European Space Agency  Higher criteria for educational proposals ?

ARISS meeting ESTEC 2014 ARISS Europe - Regional Scheduling Procedures ARISS International Delegates Meeting, April 3 - 5, 2014 – ESA ESTEC Proposal for shared ARISS contacts  When the European waiting list exceeds 25 Applications, schools accepting to share the ARISS radio contact take priority  Schools are invited to choose a partner school on the waiting list :  in principle, the language is English  another language is acceptable if an astronaut is available  Some astronauts accept Saturday contacts:  minimum impact on the planning  some astronauts accept to continue the contact during the following pass, when the orbit permits
