Schwa Decoding/Phonics 3rd grade

We found a hundred seashells! Words with more than one syllable have a syllable that is stressed more than the others. The vowel sound in the unstressed syllable of a two syllable word is usually a schwa sound. The schwa sound is neither long nor short. There are many different spellings for the schwa sound.

Can you find the schwas? Remember => two syllable word, unstressed syllable The cat appears to have gone away. Have you eaten breakfast? Arithmetic is another name for math. We had several problems to do last night.

Which syllable has the schwa? La/bel Cal/en/dar Sen/a/tor Mag/a/zine
