Romans 1:32 Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. Jews would have agreed on their death-worthiness

Romans 2:2 We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. It was a correct conclusion Romans 2:1,3 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. … 3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? It was true for the Jews too

1 John3:4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

 2:1- condemned themselves and couldn’t hear it  2: had knowledge, self-control, and taught rightly  2: Gentiles had better sight than unworthy Jews

Romans 2:3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? No escape, judgment for all Romans 2:6,11 He will render to each one according to his works:… For God shows no partiality. Romans 14:12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

 Not wishes  Not intents  Not “think so’s”  Not race  Not church membership  Not what others think

Romans 2: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. Do evil or good, serve God or don’t, it is our choice

Romans 2:4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? God’s kindness, tolerance, and patience

2 Peter 3:3-4 …knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” Denying any punishment Hebrews 12:15-17 For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears. Putting off repentance

Romans 2:5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. Hebrews 12:29 …for our God is a consuming fire.

2 Corinthians 5:11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others…. obedience 2 Peter 3:9-11 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, holy life

 While watching others we can be blind to self  God won’t be playing favorites  God’s kindness/forbearance is available Have you ignored it? 2 Corinthians 6:2 For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
