BE FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE THINGS

Genesis 39:4-5 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. 5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

Genesis 39:6a 6 So he left in Joseph’s care everything he had ; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate.

BE FAITHFUL IN TIMES OF TEMPTATION

Genesis 39:6b-7 Now Joseph was well- built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “ Come to bed with me !”

Genesis 39:8-9 8 But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

Critical Moment of Decision

Genesis 39:10 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.

Genesis 39: One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.

I Corinthians 6:18 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

I Corinthians 6: Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

II Corinthians 7:10 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

BE FAITHFUL WHEN TREATED UNFAIRLY

GENESIS 39:11-18

If your heart is right towards God, then your attitude can be right towards life, no matter what life may bring!

GENESIS 39:20-23

The LORD is forever faithful For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD. – Psalm 117:2

I John 1:9 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Jesus is faithful to the Father But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast. – Hebrews 3:6
