Fields of activity of the Association: 1.To recognise the development of Information Society in Lithuania as a strategic task and priority course of its expansion. To unify Lithuanian ICT Companies and to represent them in Lithuania and abroad. To co-operate with governmental and public structures in Lithuania and abroad in promoting the growth of the ICT market, which is considered to be a priority in the country’s overall economic growth. Legal Issues Analysis and draft amendments to laws relating to the development of information technologies market and the principles of information society.

Fields of activity of the Association: To focus special attention on the education and training of the younger generation, first and foremost students, to work and live in information society. To integrate with the other Baltic States and to conduct joint projects To support any project stimulating the growth of Information Society in Lithuania and maintain close relations with all the structures responsible for IS development To organise an annual international conference (Information Society and League of Investors)

Fields of activity of the Association: To organise the annual Trade Fair INFOBALT and to represent Lithuania in other trade fairs and conferences abroad To research the ICT and office equipment market and to analyse the development trends in all the ICT areas in Lithuania and Latvia

Aims of the conference: To bring to the attention of the public the latest trends in the development of information technologies and knowledge economy in the countries of the Baltic region. To give an answer to the question of the digital age how knowledge economy and the latest technologies can contribute to a closer co-operation of the countries of the Baltic region and facilitate the disintegration of the social, political and economic barriers. To initiate the memorandum on the policies of the countries of the Baltic region concerning joint actions in the development of information society and knowledge economy. The Memorandum will include the initiatives of eEurope + Nordic eDimension.

Aims of the conference: To encourage Lithuanian authorities to create new jobs supported by information technologies, liberalise the market for telecommunications and increase the number of information specialists. To enhance the understanding of the advantages of new technologies and knowledge economy, to attract investments in joint projects in the Baltic region. To show export possibilities for Lithuanian enterprises of ITT and new technologies. To present investment projects of ITT enterprises of the Baltic States that would like to attract financial and strategic investors.

Invitations to participate at the Conference on Information Society 2001 will be extended to the Presidents or Prime Ministers of the States of the Baltic Sea Region, CEOs and specialists of ITT companies and companies of new technologies, representatives of e-business, e-banking and international organisations, political figures, scientists and investors. The third international conference on Information Society 2001 is sponsored by the Seimas and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. The Steering Committee of the Conference will include representatives of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, various NGOs and international organisations. To participate and visit the fair INFOBALT 2001 is the right decision because: INFOBALT Fair is the largest fair of information technologies in the Baltic countries. Nearly 200 companies participated in the Fair 2000, occupying the total floor space of nearly 11,000 sq. m. INFOBALT Fair is the most popular fair in Lithuania, in 2000 it was visited by over 74,700 visitors. More than 80 percent of the visitors of INFOBALT 2000 gave a favourable evaluation to the Fair percent of the participants of INFOBALT 2000 were satisfied with the number of specialist visitors at the Fair.
