What Ive Noticed Optimism –Administrative support for balanced development (protect but use) –Committed individuals & agencies Skepticism –New divisions of responsibilities Between Districts & Agencies –Changing target(s) –Rushed process

What Ive Noticed Possibilities –Administrative support –Need to make this work for all not be a hurdle –Alaska is continually evolving –The need is NOW

Clear Communication is Key Consider the order to "Secure the Building". When the Marines get the order, "Secure the Building", the Marines go into the building, capture everybody, put guns in the windows and doors, and nobody gets in or out. The Building is Secure. When the Army gets the order, "Secure the Building", the Army sets up a perimeter around the building, nothing gets in or out of the building. The Building is Secure. When the Navy gets the order, "Secure the Building", the Navy locks all the doors and windows and leaves. The Building is Secure. When the Air Force gets the order, "Secure the Building", the Air Force signs a 12 month lease. The Building is Secure.
