8-1 NOTES: EVOLUTION

THEORY OF EVOLUTION The change in a population over time Descent with Modification Small gradual changes over thousands of years

WHAT IS A THEORY? A scientific explanation (advanced hypothesis) that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment.

WHAT IS A THEORY? It is valid as long as there is no evidence to dispute it. EX. Cell Theory and Theory of Continental Drift

INQUIRY CUBES You will develop a theory explaining what is on the bottom on the cube. You will need to site supporting evidence for your theory from observations of other sides of the cube.
